Fri-Son X État des Choses X Padou // Sept 2021 (scroll down for pictures)

For the new season of the concert hall "Fri-Son" in Fribourg, I had the chance to contribute to a new series of flyers in postcard format. The aim was to highlight "Fri-Son" as well as "État des Choses" and the artist in question, i.e. me (PADOU). The visual in question has also been declined in Posters for the September-October season of "Fri-Son", in the streets.

Shall we go for another ride?

When the car door closed, a musical world opened up for me. Arabic music surrounded me, tapes were playing. There were two of us sitting in the car and yet my father told me that we were not the only ones; from Beirut to Cairo to Morocco "Fayruz" travels to everyone's house in the morning. Words in a foreign yet familiar language, the melodies spoke to me, took me home to my father, took me home. We were alone in that car and yet there were many of us, united by a journey, united by music. An ephemeral world that disappeared with a slam of the door.
